Meet Dr. Nelson
Dr. Jeffrey Nelson
Dr. Nelson grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City High School in 1977. He earned his Eagle Scout in 1975. He worked for a Dental Supply Company for 10 years before entering dental school.
Dr. Nelson graduated in 1995 from the OU College of Dentistry with Distinction. He was the President of his class, President of the Student Council, President of Staples Society and Vice-President of the OU Health Science Center Student Association. He received many awards while in dental school such as Student Award from the American Student Dental Association Award of Excellence, Fred Seids Pediatric Dentistry Award, Horace Wells Senior Student Award (American Dental Society of Anesthesiology). He also was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society. After dental school, Dr. Nelson completed a General Practice Residency at Central Texas VA Medical Center in Temple, Texas.
While in Dental Practice Dr. Nelson has been the BPW Boss of the Year, and serves on the Oklahoma Dental Board as Chair of the Anesthesia Advisory Committee. Locally he has been involved with Rotary, Kingston Youth Association, Chamber of Commerce, and has run for the school board.
Dr. Nelson and his wife have six children (three at home). In his spare time he enjoys being with family, anything outdoors, and playing drums!
